Abstract:
First-time-right printing is needed for extensive industrialization of Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing. However, due to process instabilities defects can occur even if suitable process parameter were chosen, resulting in production scrap due to an insufficient part quality. In this paper, we propose a smart manufacturing system which enables the compensation of previously created defects by means of a Digital Twin.
