Current economic and geo-political crises have challenged network operators to build robust networks, avoiding dependencies on component manufacturers. The simultaneous unavailability of multiple network components from a single manufacturer can lead to drastic downtimes, high monetary losses, and security concerns due to connectivity disruptions.
