Therefore, the teacher has a role model function in teaching the substance-particle concept. Digital media can be effective for learning. Augmented reality (AR) links the real and virtual worlds. Split attention can thus be avoided. In two studies, the acceptance of AR among STEM teachers and the effect of AR on substance-particle concept understanding are investigated.
