In this work the bond strength of sprayed concrete and the mesostructure of sprayed concrete is analysed. In contrast to normal concrete, sprayed concrete shows a significantly higher standard deviation and an anisotropic material behaviour. Computed tomography combined with analytical micromechanical analyses serves to explain the anisotropic material behaviour. In addition, a statistical evaluation of the bond tests is used to deduce a resistance model of the load-bearing capacity of non-reinforced concrete joints of sprayed supplements.
