Abstract:
Extreme environment of the hypersonic regime of planetary entry flights prompts great challenges on the assessment of surface aeroheating and aerothermal prediction of the boundary layers over spacecrafts, leading to conservatism in design of the Thermal Protection System (TPS) of entry vehicles.
