Abstract:
Superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles are a promising material in nanomedicine, especially for generating magnetically controlled drug delivery systems. We developed an innovative ureidopyrimidinone (UPy) coating based on supramolecular hydrogen bonding units. The synthesized nanoparticles possess a positively charged surface with a hydrodynamic diameter of 177 nm at pH 7 and magnetization of 31 emu g-1. The system has the potential to be modified by drugs o...     »
