- Abstract:
- This work further develops the foundations of complex network theory towards a practical application to technology assessment in early conceptual aircraft design. A novel technique utilising a macro-level network model enables the operationally driven networks to be simulated and visualized revealing useful insights regarding the evolution of air transport networks as well as to further develop and accommodate the increasing air traffic volumes around the world.

- Diese Arbeit präsentiert eine praktische Anwendung der Theorie komplexer Netzwerke zur Technologiebewertung im Flugzeugvorentwurf. Ein neu auf der Makroebene entwickeltes Netzwerkmodell wird verwendet, mit dem das operationelle Luftverkehrsnetzwerk simuliert und visualisiert wird. Die Ergebnisse liefern nützliche Einblicke in die Entwicklung von Luftverkehrsnetzwerken sowie bzgl. der Fähigkeit des Netzwerksystems das steigende Luftverkehrsaufkommen unterzubringen.
