For all strategies of spatial variable plant production or precision farming it is basic to have a knowledge about the stability of yield pattern. Therefore it was examined how stable pattern of yield measurements of several years and different crops have been. Data base for this examination is the experimental farm Scheyern of the "Forschungsverbund Agarökosysteme München FAM" with local yield detection on combine harvesters since 1990 and on self propelled forage choppers since 1993. The analysis shows that at least after three years of local yield detection (with homogenious treatments) very stable yield patterns can be determined. Additional years increase the security of the patterns. These patterns can build one of the fundamentals of local variable fertilizer application.
