TUM Speakers Series: Federal minister Dr. Gerd Müller in the „aCar“

The "aCar" has been developed by TUM with partners in industry and research specifically for rural regions of Africa. It has an electric motor that uses solar energy, made of materials that are available in Africa and can be produced at low cost. Its basic version can be supplemented with various superstructures so that it can also be used as a heavy goods vehicle. With these characteristics, the "aCar" makes low-earning people mobile in remote regions of Africa, enabling them to have better access to health care, education and the economy.
