Abscisic acid (ABA) is a key regulator involved in drought stress in plants. The objective of this dissertation was to isolate novel ligands of the ABA-receptor complexes. Therefore, a method based on affinity chromatography with plant cell extract has been developed. Thus, two new potential ligands were enriched and their elemental sum formulas have been deduced by Fourier-Transform mass spectrometry. Bioassays with one of the ligand fractions showed a regulation of the ABA-receptor complexes comparable to ABA.
