Systems such as advanced driver assistance systems for automobiles or smart metering systems are summarized under the term Cyber-Physical Systems. They have in common that they are embedded in a physical system and communicate with each other over a shared network. In this work, new approaches to the design of Cyber-Physical Systems are presented. Core of these approaches is the integrated design of the controllers and the communication network. The theoretical results are verified by suitable simulations.
