This paper provides an analysis of an overconstrained linkage, which may
also be found as a mechanism equivalent of a sub-structure of the Miura-ori
origami folding pattern and which essentially represents two specifically
coupled spherical four-bars. In addition to kinematics also the kinetostatic
analysis is considered, which is overdetermined. However, considering
line-based singularity aspects allows it to model spherical 4-bars as specific
RCCC linkages, which yields a statically determined analysis. Practical relation is given in terms of a spatial motion task from automotive engineering.
