The aim of this paper is to show, using the example of a Bavarian bakery, how the most economical charging infrastructure for battery electric vehicles at company locations can be designed using currently available technical systems. The focus is on the identification and analysis of factors influencing the technical and economic suitability of different charging infrastructures. For this purpose, the authors present a novel method which allows the technical and economic evaluation of predefined charging infrastructure concepts on the basis of real movement data of the vehicle fleet, and a load profile of the company site. The economic evaluation is based on a comprehensive market analysis of the currently available charging infrastructure systems.
