Environmental impact assessment of the horticultural products asparagus, strawberries, roses and orchids according to the Product Carbon Footprint and Product Environmental Footprint methodologies

The thesis makes methodological suggestions for conducting a consistent environmental impact analysis of horticultural products. It also gives recommendations for reducing the emissions across 14 impact categories. The Product Carbon Footprint and Product Environmental Footprint methodologies were applied to case studies on the strawberry, asparagus, orchid and rose production systems in Germany and Estonia. Dieser Dissertation gibt methodologische Empfehlungen, die dazu beitragen, für die Umweltwirkungsanalysen von Gartenbauprodukten vergleichbare Ergebnisse zu liefern. Zusätzlich werden Vorschläge zur Verringerung den Emissionen in 14 Wirkungskategorien gemacht. Dafür wurden die Product Carbon Footprint und Product Environmental Footprint Methodiken in Fallstudien von Erdbeeren-, Spargel-, Orchideen- und Rosenproduktionssysteme in Deutschland und Estland angewendet.     «
