Abstract:
Nondeterministic behavior of traffic participants and inaccurate sensors and actuators challenge the reliability of autonomous driving planning and control functions. This thesis presents a novel approach for efficiently testing the software implementation of such systems in a simulation environment. The algorithm splits the simulation into short sequences that cover different desired and undesired behaviors of the system. This way, the developed method is more efficient than existing approaches.
