The aim of this paper is the technical and economic analysis of state-of-the-art charging infrastructure concepts for three typical commercial battery electric fleets. The investigated charging infrastructure concepts are based on systems that are currently available on the market and are thus an essential part of the current mobility change towards an emission-free mobility system. An iterative evaluation of the charging infrastructure concepts under variation of the mobility behavior of the three fleets enables statistical statements to be made about the technical and economic suitability. Based on the results, the authors can derive initial recommendations for the design of charging infrastructure for commercial vehicle fleets.
