This paper shows a new method of detecting the degeneration of the electrical drivetrain in modern electric vehicles due to ageing, overload or manufacturing errors of the components by fusing sensor data with vehicle history data. This information will be used for an accurate range prediction and a residual value estimation of the electric vehicle. Furthermore, malfunctions of the drive train components can be detected. The methods introduced will be implemented as an online solution and are shown on a test vehicle. The traction battery is the focus of this paper, while the components inverter and motor are outlined and are the subject of further research.
