Abstract:
The application of stationary battery storage systems in distribution grids can serve different purposes. Especially in grid areas with a high photovoltaic penetration, storage systems can increase the level of self-sufficiency for consumers using privately owned photovoltaic systems as well as offload the grid in times of high photovoltaic generation in order to reduce necessary grid reinforcement.
