Adaptive systems are a promising approach to reduce driver distraction caused by using functions of the infotainment system while driving. The number of operation steps can be reduced through proactive recommendations based on the user behavior in the past. We describe the methods and results conducted in the first two iterations of an user-centered design process to develop an interaction concept for an adaptive recommendation service.
