In this paper we argue that human performance and interface-design cannot be treated as independent dimensions of ergonomic design. If one has identified an inappropriate human ability (e.g., human have difficulties with delayed feedback), this must always be connected to the interface, that was used for confirming this result. Experiments we performed clearly support this hypothesis, showing that human failures and inappropriate human behaviour cannot be separated from the layout of the interface. Even more it looks like experimental results regarding human performance are always a self-prophesying artificial result of the experimental layout rather than self-standing human properties. Consequently, human and interface have to be treated and designed as an overall system with mutual influence. For this, the understanding about the influence of external aspects on human properties has to be investigated further.     «
