Autonomous vehicles continuously weigh up risks between various courses of action. Standard moral theories swiftly reach their limits when assessing risks. This thesis contributes to this debate through the lens of data-driven ethics. Trolley-like dilemma situations are developed further by explicitly incorporating risks. In several studies, it is examined how people trade off the probability and severity of collisions. In addition, the importance of appropriate post-collision behavior is studied.
