- Abstract:
- Car-to-car compatibility is a key factor in reducing the number of injuries and road fatalities. However, there exists no comprehensive assessment approach for the crash compatibility of passenger cars. The aim of this work is to develop an approach to assess and optimize the frontal crash compatibility of vehicle structures. A fundamental definition model for crash compatibility is presented, and a new assessment approach is developed and validated with simulation results.

- Crash-Kompatibilität ist ein Schlüsselfaktor bei der Verringerung der Verletzungen und Verkehrstoten. Es gibt noch keine umfassende Auswertungsmethode für die Crash-Kompatibilität. Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, eine Methode zur Auswertung und Optimierung der frontalen Crash-Kompatibilität von Fahrzeugstrukturen zu entwickeln. Hierbei wird ein grundlegendes Definitionsmodell für die Crash-Kompatibilität präsentiert, eine neue Auswertungsmethode entwickelt und mittels Simulationen validiert.
