Abstract:
This paper presents the results of the influence of an active battery switching system on the drivetrain efficiency of electric vehicles. The purpose of this system is to increase the drivetrain's electrical efficiency, especially in the partial-load range. It consists of a switching unit that allows the vehicle's tractionbattery circuitry to be changed during operation, thereby adjusting the intermediate circuit voltage.
