Title:

Evaluation of New Developments in Cognitive Error Modeling and Quantification: Time Reliability Correlation

Author(s):
Reer, B.; Sträter, O.
Abstract:
A subset of methods for the probabilistic analysis of cognitive errors of control room operators is investigated. The subset concerns the time reliability correlation approach. New methods (EdF, HCR/ORE) exhibit partial improvements compared to older ones (THERP, HCR), especially concerning the incorporation of simulator data. However, with respect to modem findings in cognition of human beings, there is still a need for further developments of probabilistic methods.
