Fabrication concepts such as just-in-time, zero inventory and continuous flow manufacturing are increasingly gaining importance in the fabrication of large panels. A precondition for this is machines with a high degree of flexibility combined with high tool quality and tool variety. Drawn parts can be produced completely automatically on large panel transfer presses. The individual stages, the blank feed, tool transport, single-action drawing process, parts discharge and stacking, tool change process and control of the system are discussed.     «
