Abstract:
For manufacturers of electric motors the economic production of small batches and custom-built components is of decisive importance. Modern, computer-controlled grooving machines provide for the necessary conditions by offering high flexibility, high availability and low maintenance requirements. The paper describes two flexible manufacturing systems tuned to the geometrical data of the motor sheet packages to be produced.
