Abstract:
In this note, a fast and easy way to produce a Finite Element model of a 3D cantilever Timoshenko beam in state space is presented, for instance for benchmarking purposes of parametric Model Order Reduction. The model is generated by a single MATLAB file and provides the possibility to modify several parameters like the beam’s geometry, material properties and the number of degrees of freedom.
