Abstract:
This paper presents a numerical investigation of hardwood Glulam beam-columns subjected to combined bending and axial compression. The paper compares the load-bearing capacities resulting from a bilinear elastic-plastic material behavior and a non-linear elastic-plastic material behavior with softening using beech GL 48h.
