Abstract:
Serious Games combine the world of playing games for entertainment with the world of learning.
Three different Serious Games were implemented on the topic of tangible as well as intangible cultural heritage: DragonTale (Japanese Kanji), Oppidum (History and Culture of the Celts) and HieroQuest (Egyptian Hieroglyphs). Through appropriate studies with corresponding questionnaires, the respective effects of the Serious Games were investigated, especially regarding their knowledge transfer.
