20 patients with complete cleft lip-jaw-palate (15 unilateral and 5 bilateral) have been reviewed retrospectively after tertiary nose correction (14 open and 6 closed rhinoplasties). The comparison of starting-diagnosis with the postoperative result has been achieved by direct measurement and by analyis of pre- and postoperative patient photographs. The angles and lines, determinating the proportion of nose and face, were significantly positive influenced by the open technique concerning nasolabial-, nasofacial- and nasomental angle as well as the length of philtrum and columella. By closed rhinoplasty technique only the nasofrontal angle has been significantly changed. By open rhinoplasty technique finally better results have been achieved clearly.
