This thesis solves the end-to-end resilient virtual network design problem both for connectivity and cloud services. The solutions are formulated as mathematical optimization models and heuristics. The models are furthermore enhanced for extended failure coverage and for enabling shared protection and quality of service provisioning. Via extensive simulations, the performance of the proposed models and algorithms is evaluated, thereby providing operators a framework for the decision on resilience and quality of service provisioning layer.
