Our study investigate the clinical, functional and radiological results of 49 patients who underwent MPFL-reconstruction in Aperture-technique including their one-year follow-up results. The data were compared to a second cohort of patients who underwent surgery using another older and indirect technique with two suture anchors at the patella. Our clinical data investigating the new technique are very promising, in fact in a follow-up of one year there are some significant better results compared to the group of control patients.
