In einer prospektiven nicht randomisierten klinischen Beobachtungsstudie wurden das kosmetische Ergebnis, die Komplikationen und die Zufriedenheit von 161 zwischen 1994 und 1995 in der Frauenklinik der TU München brusterhaltend operierten Frauen präoperativ sowie im Zeitverlauf bis 12,5 Monate postoperativ untersucht. Eingeschlossen waren Frauen mit benignen (43%) und malignen (57%) Tumoren, postoperativ erfolgten ggf. eine Radiatio (i.d.R. 56 Gy, homogen) sowie ggf. eine adjuvante systemische Therapie. Zur Beurteilung des kosmetischen Resultates kam ein vierstufiger Score zur Anwendung, der Auffälligkeiten der Haut, Brustkontur, des Mamille-Areola-Komplexes und der Symmetrieverhältnisse erfaßte. Es erwiesen sich insbesondere eine zentrale Tumorlokalisation, eine ungünstige Relation zwischen Exzidat- und Brustvolumen sowie die Strahlentherapie als negative Einflußfaktoren auf das Gesamtergebnis bei insgesamt sehr hoher Zufriedenheit der Patientinnen.     «

In a not randomised, prospective clinical study, the cosmetic results, complications and contentedness were evaluated in 161 women undergoing breast conserving operations. The patients were operated on between 1994 and 1995 in the Gynaecological clinic of TU Munich, and were examined preoperatively and at intervals until 12,5 months postoperative. Included were women with benign (43%) and malignant (57%) tumours.They were treated, if need be, with radiotherapy (as a rule 56 Gy, homogenous) and, if need be, with adjuvant systemic therapy. A score (with 4 categories), which included the state of the skin, breast contour, nipple areolar complex and the symmetry, was used for interpretation of the cosmetic results. It was found that, in particular, a central tumour location, a large tumour in relation to breast size and radiotherapy were negative factors for the outcome and that the general contentedness of the patients was very high.     «
