This study is about 99 patients with soft tissue sarcomas of the extremities, who have been treated with radiotherapy within a interdisciplinary concept in the Klinik für Strahlentherapie und Radiologische Onkologie of the Klinikum rechts der Isar between 1995 and 2005. The point of interest has been the comparison of a percutaneous and a combined radiotherapy (percutaneous and intraoperative). The results have been evaluated with the endpoints local controll, metastasis-free survival and overall survival, the side effects of the radiotherapy on the basis of late effects and the residual function of the extremity.
