Abstract:
Can the concept of Education Outside the Classroom help to effectively address the challenges faced by children and adolescents, including alarming health-related trends, as well as the need for future-oriented skills? This dissertation addresses this question by empirically examining learning motivation, health-related quality of life, and social network structures in school classes. Subsequently, key deductions for school practice and policy are drawn.

Kann das Konzept des Draußenunterrichts dazu beitragen, den Herausforderungen – unter anderem alarmierende gesundheitliche Trends, sowie der Bedarf zukunftsweisender Fähigkeiten – von Kindern und Jugendlichen effektiv zu begegnen? Dieser Frage geht diese Dissertation nach, indem sie die Lernmotivation, die gesundheitsbezogene Lebensqualität und soziale Netzwerkstrukturen in Schulklassen empirisch untersucht. In der Folge werden zentrale Ableitung für Schulpraxis und Politik gezogen.
