Oncolytic virotherapy is a promising concept to treat bladder cancer. The replication of our oncolytic adenovirus depends on the nuclear localization of the multifunctional oncoprotein YB-1. In bladder cancer high YB-1 expression is associated with tumor growth, invasion and decreased overall survival. The results of this work show strong oncolytic activity and effective replication of the oncolytic adenovirus in bladder cancer cell lines. Furthermore, we analyzed the immunogenic potential of YB-1 based virotherapy, which might be a crucial factor for therapeutic success.      «
