The consequences of the renormalization group running on the lepton flavour structure are investigated, in particular the running of the neutrino masses as well as the leptonic mixing angles and CP phases. For this purpose, differential equations are derived which describe the change of the mass eigenvalues and mixing parameters and make an analytic understanding possible. Besides, the effect of neutrino Yukawa couplings is discussed in the Standard Model or MSSM extended by right-handed neutrinos. Furthermore, applications of the effects of renormalization are presented, e.g. concerning the potential of future precision experiments and the compatibility of textures for the neutrino mass matrix with experimental data.
