The topic of this thesis is the production of K*0(896)- and Phi(1020)-mesons in pp- and PbPb-collisions at a center of mass energy of s^1/2=17.2GeV at the CERN-SPS. In pp-collisions, the total inclusive cross section, the longitudinal and the transverse momentum distributions as well as the dependence of the production rates on the energy transfer in the collision were determined. In PbPb-collisions, the dependence of the meson production rates on the impact paramter was investigated. The comparison of the production rates in these two collision systems lead to statements concerning the enhanced strangeness production in PbPb-collisions.
