Periodic mesoporous silica materials have attracted much attention in the field of catalysis or material sciences. In this work periodic mesoporous materials such as MCM-41, MCM-48 and SBA-15 with adjustable pore sizes were synthesized. The materials were modified by surface grafting of organometallic compounds. Accordingly, organic and organometallic surface groups were introduced and also metal oxide monolayers were produced. The surface species were characterized by elemental analysis, FTIR, MAS NMR and nitrogen physisorption.
