Dynamic processes of prototypical organic and organometallic compounds are investigated in high resolution and in real time experiments between 50 ns and less than 200 fs. Doppler-free two-photon spectroscopy leads to the determination of the structure of electronically exited fluorbenzene. The goal of further high resolution investigations is charge transfer leading to structural changes after excitation of different vibrations in the first excited S1 State of benzonitrile. The technique of UV fs pump-probe spectroscopy with mass selective detection was used to investigate the fast nonradiative relaxation of benzene and the photodissociation of ferrocene after electronic excitation.
