Abstract:
PURPOSE: Preoperative (neoadjuvant) radiation therapy (RT) is an essential part of multimodal rectal cancer therapy. Recently, total neoadjuvant therapy (TNT), which combines simultaneous radiochemotherapy with additional courses of chemotherapy, has emerged as an effective approach.
