- Nach Ergebnissen einer Tiermodellstudie wurden bei dieser Studie 23 Patienten mit einer degenerativen transmuralen Rotatorenmanschettenruptur so operiert, dass die Rekonstruktion mit einem Periostlappen verstärkt wurde. Auffällig war, dass 8 der 18 Patienten mit Bildgebung eine asymptomatische Ossifikation im Sehnenverlauf entwickelten. Die Rerupturrate und der Constant Score war im Vergleich mit der Literatur ungefähr gleichwertig.

- After the results of an animal study, this study included 23 patients with an degenerative transmural rotator cuff tear, where the reconstruction was strengthened with an periosteal flap. Interestingly 8 of 18 patients developed an asymptomatic ossification in the tendon. The Rate of rerupture and the constant score was equal to descriptions in the literature.
