This Paper presents the structure, risks and applied risk mitigation strategies for an automatic landing system with a Load Factor and bank angle command system as inner Loop control system. The automatic landing system has been developed at the Institute of Flight System Dynamics for a general aviation CS-23 research aircraft Diamond DA 42. It has been designed in order to fit into the available con-troller structure already developed at the Institute for that aircraft before and make use of these controllers where ever possible in order to avoid the development of new controllers.
