A method to determine a safe parameter envelope for emergency landings in the case of a total engine flame out event (TEFO) ona commercial aircraft is presented. The boundary ofthis feasible set ofparameters is formulatedas thePareto frontier ofamulti-objective optimal control problem. A novel method to calculate evenly distributed Pareto points along the boundary is introduced and implemented to find a numerical estimation of the boundary. Each point is calculated by maximizing the distance along a fixed radial from a reference point within the set. Hence, the method can be applied to any star convex set. The method is validated using a numerical case study of a short-haul commercial aircraft experiencing a TEFO event over the alps. The parameter envelope for the distance traveled in aerodynamic landing configuration and the commanded calibrated airspeed is determined for a safe touchdown at Munich airport.
