This doctoral thesis focuses on the analysis of hydrological time series. First, we present an algorithm for the homogenization of mean seasonal snow depth time series and we show its application. Then we apply the wavelet and copula analysis to investigate the effects of climate change on snow related variables (Adige catchment) and on discharge time series (Adige and Inn catchments), linking these variables also to global climatic indexes. We finally show the performances of the copulas for modelling flood events (Inn catchment).
