Intravascular crawling of blood leukocytes is a crucial factor for preparing a purposive transmigration across the endothelial barrier. In this thesis the crawling phenomenon of different cell populations was analysed in the murine microcirculation under physiological and inflammatory conditions using intravital multiphotonmicroscopy. Therefor we established a new single-cell-tracking-method to analyse leukocytes’ behaviour in vivo, before and immediate after the application of monoclonal antibodies against beta2-integrins.
