In a 10-year period, 60 patients with ipsilateral multi-level fractures of the femur were surgically treated and retrospectively evaluated. A new treatment, called "rendez-vous"-technique was established and compared with alternative treatment methods such as the conventional singular osteosynthesis and stabilization technique, by using an "all-in-one" device. The results of the study suggest, that the "rendez-vous" technique may be a secure and reliable surgical technique for successful treatment of multi-level femur fractures.
