Im Rahmen dieser Arbeit wurden Blutproben von Karzinompatienten auf den Hsp70 Protein- und Antikörpergehalt untersucht. Hitzeschockprotein 70 (Hsp70) ist ein zytoprotektives, intrazellulär in gesunden Zellen vorkommendes Protein. Es gelang, Serum von Karzinompatienten mittels ELISA Technik zu messen und ein erhöhtes Hsp70 Protein Level (Knochentumoren, HNO-Tumoren, Prostatakarzinome) im Vergleich zu Gesunden aufzuzeigen. Mittels Hsp70 spezifischem Monitoring können in Zukunft Studien um einen potentiell prognostischen Marker ergänzt werden.      «

This study looked at blood samples (serum) from cancer patients and their heat shock protein 70 (Hsp70) protein and antibody levels. Hsp70, which in healthy cells is an intracellular occurring protein that fulfills cytoprotective functions, was analyzed via ELISA. Our results show that the serum of cancer patients (bone, ENT, prostate cancers) has increased Hsp70 protein levels compared to healthy donors. Hsp70-specific monitoring may help in future studies as a potential prognostic or therapy guiding biomarker. This opens new perspectives and advance the field of clinical oncology.     «
