The effects of three different stretching techniques (SS, DS, CRAC) with a duration of 8 weeks have been tested on 98 subjects regarding selected performance parameters in martial arts. The maximum force, hip-flexion ability, kicking-force, kicking-speed and kicking-speedendurance of a frontal high kick were evaluated by dynamometric measurements. All stretching methods improved mobility and showed no negative effects on any kind of kicking-performances as mentioned. Even an partial increase in strength and speed was seen, which had been achieved by CRAC and DS stretching.
