Ziel der Arbeit war es, mögliche Zusammenhänge zwischen der neuropsychologischen Leistungsfähigkeit, den Theory of Mind-Fähigkeiten und dem psychosozialen Funktionsniveau bei erwachsenen Probanden mit ADHS (N = 33) zu untersuchen. In einem quasiexperimentellen Design wurden die Ergebnisse der ADHS-Gruppe mit der Normstichprobe bzw. den paarweise gematchten gesunden Kontrollprobanden verglichen. Hypothesenkonform wurden bei der ADHS-Gruppe zahlreiche neuropsychologische Defizite insbesondere der attentionalen und exekutiven Funktionen gefunden. Die Gedächtnisleistung unterschied sich entgegen der Erwartung nicht von der Normgruppe. Zudem zeigten sich im Vergleich zur Kontrollgruppe in keinem der beiden Theory of Mind-Tests Beeinträchtigungen. Wie postuliert korrelierten die Theory of Mind-Fähigkeiten signifikant positiv mit den Exekutivfunktionen. Zudem erwies sich die ADHS Gruppe als psychopathologisch und psychosozial stark beeinträchtigt.     «

The aim of the study was to investigate possible associations between the neuropsychological performance, the theory-of-mind abilities and psychosocial functioning in adult subjects with ADHD (N = 33). In a quasi-experimental design, the results were compared between the test subjects and those of healthy control subjects. Conform to the hypothesis in the ADHD group, numerous neuropsychological deficits were found, particularly of attentional and executive functions. Contrary to expectations, memory skills did not differ from the reference sample. Furthermore, there were no impairments found in the two theory-of-mind tests. As postulated, the theory-of-mind abilities were correlated positively and significantly with the executive functions. In addition, the ADHD group was found to be severely psychopathologically and psychosocially impaired.     «
